  1. Exercise more: whether your dog is young and full of energy or a bit older with a couple of extra pounds, in general most dogs don’t get enough exercise. Anything from walking a bit more, running, swimming, playing fetch, etc. can make a huge difference in your dog’s overall wellbeing.   2. Smell new places: do you ever wonder if your dog’s life might be a bit boring? Well, unless your lucky dog gets to ride around with you on errands and smell new places all the time, then odds are he is probably a bit bored. A great way to achieve this is just getting in the car and driving to a new neighborhood or a new park for your morning or evening walk.

This is a fabulous way to do a bit of dog training, interact with your dog and depending on the cute trick you teach your dog, it might be entertaining for the whole family.   4. Check all vaccinations: this might be something that you already do throughout the year, but as our dogs get older we tend to forget about vaccinations. Take a moment to look over your dog’s records and see if everything is up to date.
  5. Update microchip info: if you haven’t microchipped your dog then we strongly suggest that you do, it is a great tool for all dog parents to have in case your dog is ever lost. Updating the information is usually pretty easy these days so make sure everything is current. If you are not sure about the type of microchip in your dog, or if they even have one, visit your veterinarian so they can scan your dog, then update everything, address and phone numbers, not just one or the other.fur do
  6. Try a new fur do: most pups are used to going in for a bath and nails, but have you ever thought of giving your dog a new do? Come in and chat with our groomers, they have plenty of suggestions and expertise.
  7. Teach your dog a new game: games are super fun no matter how old your dog is. Games like: hide and seek, fetch, the recall game, find dinner, etc. are great ways to enrich your dog’s life.
